Revolver was established in the spring of 2006 when Nick Handler, Chris McManus, and Marc Weinberger came together to build a new Bay Area ultimate program from scratch. The captains sought to install a team-first mentality, to build strong team chemistry, and to use the values of intensity, humility, and discipline to define the team ethic. These are still the values Revolver strives to demonstrate.
In its inaugural season the team quickly jumped on the National stage by qualifying 3rd for Sarasota out of the cutthroat Northwest, and capped its debut year by claiming a 5th-place finish at Nationals. A tough loss in the game to go at Regionals in 2007 was followed by a return to Sarasota in 2008 and again a 5th place finish. In 2009, Revolver followed its best ever regular season with a finals berth at Nationals, on the way winning the Open division team spirit award and captain Robbie Cahill winning the Farricker Spirit award.
In 2011 and beyond, Revolver will stay humble, intense, and disciplined, continue to build a nationally-competitive program, develop the best young talent, and have a great time doing it.
