College Team:
Stanford Bloodthirsty (2008-2012)

Club Team:
Boost Mobile (2010, 2011)

Awards:
1st Team Southwest All-Region 2012

Favorite Tournament Moment:
Beating Cal in the Backdoor semifinals at SW regionals 2011. Games against Cal are always a battle, and this one saw 3-4 point runs by both teams early in the game, and a ton of big plays. We ended up winning 11-10, and would go on to beat SDSU handily in the backdoor finals to go back to Nationals after a year absence. I also got my first and only Callahan during this game.

Favorite Player(s) in Formative Years:
Mark Sherwood – Playing every point and being being dominant on both sides of the field.  “More me! More me!”

Tom James – Captain of the team my freshman year and a great, confident team leader. He’s got a devastating mark, pinpoint hucks, and generally makes the difficult things look easy. He also did an 8 minute plank once.

Mac – Not on my team, but I liked watching him play when we played Colorado. I respect a man who uses his lank well.

Favorite Tournament:
College Nationals & Kaimana Klassik

What makes you so dangerous?
Precision bombs… just keep running.  Also, gangle.

Theme Song:
The Second Coming-Juelz Santana and Just Blaze

Pre-game ritual:
Listen to my own or the team’s music. Munch on a clif bar. Get loud during warmups to get myself pumped. Throw for 5-10 minutes. Eat more clif bar, retie my cleats, and have an energy drink if needed.

If I didn’t play ultimate, I would be:
Playing basketball

Favorite non-ultimate team:
Michael Jordan era Bulls
49ers, Saints
Any team with an Alaskan on it

Favorite Revolver player so far:
Devon, because he drives my sorry car-less self to practice. Also Ashlin, because he kept going deep for me at Flowerbowl and he’s willing to throw the jump ball.

Something unknown about me:
I’m from the farthest north town in the U.S. (Barrow) and I taught myself how to throw with those free frisbee dvds you get when you buy a Wham-o disc from a department store. I also have the finger-length of a 10 year old.
